Ace's Thanksgiving Recipes
Here's some recipes I shared on the show. Hope you enjoy them as much as my family does.
Southern Green Beans
3 cans of green beans
*2 slices of regular white bread
* 2 (16 ounce) package dry corn bread mix
* 4 tablespoons butter
* 1/2 cup chopped celery
* 1 small onion
* 2 eggs, beaten
* 1 egg, hardboiled
* 1 can of cream of celery soup
* 3 cups chicken stock
* 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
* salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
1. Prepare the dry corn bread mix according to package directions. Cool and crumble. Break up white bread
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one baking dish.
3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and saute the celery and onion until soft.
4. In a large bowl, combine the celery, onions, 3 cups crumbled corn bread, eggs, chicken stock, sage and salt and pepper to taste; mix well.
5. Place into prepared dish and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes.
Oatmeal Creme Pie Surprise
It's a box of the pies crumbled into a bowl then stir in a half gallon vanilla ice cream and a tub of cool whip. Freeze and enjoy! Works well with Oreos too. Happy Thanksgiving!
