Ace's Thanksgiving Recipes

Here's some recipes I shared on the show. Hope you enjoy them as much as my family does.

Southern Green Beans

3 cans of green beans

Bacon
3 onions
 
Fry the bacon to season the pan
Drain the grease
Caramelize the onions
Then set aside
Caramelize the green beans
Then mix together and serve
 
Cornbread Dressing

 

 

 

 

 

 

*2 slices of regular white bread

* 2 (16 ounce) package dry corn bread mix 
* 4 tablespoons butter 
* 1/2 cup chopped celery 
* 1 small onion 
* 2 eggs, beaten

* 1 egg, hardboiled

* 1 can of cream of celery soup 
* 3 cups chicken stock 
* 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning 
* salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS 
 
1. Prepare the dry corn bread mix according to package directions. Cool and crumble. Break up white bread 
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one baking dish. 
3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and saute the celery and onion until soft. 
4. In a large bowl, combine the celery, onions, 3 cups crumbled corn bread, eggs, chicken stock, sage and salt and pepper to taste; mix well. 
5. Place into prepared dish and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes.

 

Oatmeal Creme Pie Surprise

It's a box of the pies crumbled into a bowl then stir in a half gallon vanilla ice cream and a tub of cool whip.

 

Freeze and enjoy! Works well with Oreos too.
